Well the question is in the title. I don't mean in general a certain type of ferrari, I mean that 1 ferrari with that 1 VIN. Like how Carbon loves 134282. Would you pay double? triple?

I would pay as much as I could afford without causing myself financial headaches.

I'd rather have a small classic cars collection than one brand new Ferrari....

    a 1958 Jaguar XK120, a 1986 Lamborghini Countach, a Ferrari 1988 Testarossa, plus a 1956 Mercedes 190SL roadster VERSUS one Ferrari F430.

So, for one dream Ferrari for me to pay.... not that much.

For a black F50, if I could afford it I'd go up to triple the price for a normal red one... it would probably make more sense to get a red and repaint it black but I think they should be exactly as rare as they are now, no more, no less.

You would be paying too much. No car is worth tripple in value just because of its color. In the Ferrari world non-red often lowers the resale value.

Off-topic: What dorm do you live in? You are lucky to be there during the Weis era.

Are Carbon and I the only 2 people that love a ferrari with a certain VIN?

I would pay upwards of 130k for a pristine fully documented Sera Blue 1993/94 512 TR.

Or as much as 800k for a black 67 275GTB/4

I really need to win the lottery.

I would spend maximum of about $150k on an exotic car. This number is subject to change at any time. 10 years ago I set the maximum at $30k for a car, $80k for a house lot.

I guess I am not following your question. The first Ferrari in a series, such as the first F40 ever made? The first Enzo made? That type of thing?

I wouldn't pay a premium. But, that's just me. It might float your boat, to each his own. If it's already a low/ special production vehicle, I don't know how much value to collector's that would add having the first car. Too me it doesn't add any value.

$350-400k. But alas, I have no money for a 288GTO! I'll just have to buy more videos, posters and models :-\
