Couldnt figure it out on the configurator. Is it carbon fiber or just painted black? Thx in advance.

    Roof alternate color?

This may be extracampanario sheet option.

I don't think it's in the configurator. It's a dealer only input. I think it's called Bi-color and it's about $13 grand. Yes, it's only paint but you can get it in any color and not just black. It's also available on spider but I think the price is higher.

There are a lot of "dealer only" inputs that are not on the configurator or even the spec sheets. For example, you can request the front dash in two colors (top and bottom). That's a special request. Stripes in the racing seats are a special request.

Someone here got the racing seats with the daytona stripes. You can request a lot of things but if you have to ask how much, you can't afford it.

I called mine a "black vinyl wrap"... cheap and can switch it out with your mood.

Wrapping the roof in matte black isn't that bad looking. The whole car -- yes, bad looking. It's an option.

Good to know. My plan for a simple base coupe with minimal options is getting blown out the water.

    HA! Wait... just wait.

Honestly, you can get a well optioned coupe for $265 and a well optioned spider for $290. It's hard to do one less than $250 unless it's really plain jane (standard wheels, standard seats, standard electronics, etc). Few do it that way.

Just wheels, electric seats, and shields will run you $10K -- daytona add about 4 more. Remember the base price does not include transportation, dealer prep, and the gas guzzlers tax.

30 or 40 grand in options is not that rare for one of these.

I'm gonna be the only one driving so not gonna do electric seats. Don't really like the look of carbon fiberso that will be minimal. Want to do sensors and camera. Seats- I like the racing seats but don't ry know what Daytona are. Want to do contrast stitching. Will upgrade wheels but not quite sure which ones.

The rest of leather and Alcantra headliner stuff just seems like a waste. I'm thinking 250-260k

I had my dealer wrap my top for me. I like it. If the next guy doesn't all he has to do is pull it off. Actually the dealer will most likely remove it when I trade it in and they put it back on the market. The 458 just has great lines to kill the wrap into.

It's difficult to wrap the details around the window, such as the rain gutters. A lot of wrappers leave the window frame in paint and it looks pretty tacky.

If you are gonna wrap it, gotta do the whole thing. What's the cost on the wrap compared to a full paint? Dual colored just looks sick. Thx for the picture.

Let me say mine is flat carbon fiber look. They can do a glossy black for $1,400 because it's two layers. They put one layer of black then put the clear bra on top of that and it gives it a glossy look.

Thank you. There are many who do not like the fake wrap or black wheels but it's my car and I like it that way. Here's another pic.

    Certainly does!

The Mayor is right that it is an expensive option, the reason being that your car is sprayed in a separate facility, not on the main line. That is what you pay for, not for the colour itself. So I chose Nero Stellato with Rosso Maranello, both of which are $15k options, but both together is also $15k.
