I will of course have a PPI done, I'm more concerned about HOW to pay safely without being ripped off. Do most of you use escrow companies, cashiers check or wire transfer? What safeguards do you take to make sure they send the car after you send the money.
(Going out of town to pick it up isn't an option)

Who are you buying it from ??

I purchased mine site - unseen, but it from was Jim Lyons, and he reputation is 100%, so I didnt have anything to worry about.

I have heard of some people on Fchat that would possibly go out and get your car, fyou would cover airfare, hotel oif needed, etc..

The best person to ask on this would be Roland.

    What ya gettin ?

Write a definitive purchase agreement before you send any funds. Have them sign that (you sign it, too). Make sure that it has a damages section with specific performance as the option that you would like to execute.

I have never used escrow for a car but it's probably a good way to go.

One thing I always like to do first is get a copy of the title to make sure it is in the name of the person selling without any liens, etc. If there is a lien, you can probably talk to the finance company and send the money to them. If it's a dealer, just make sure they are reputable and have been around for a while and send money. Don't be afraid to ask for references for a private party. Of course, it's always preferable to do it in person.
