It's vintage, NOS and was commissioned by the factory.

There are plenty of knock-off though, even modern ones that imitate the shape etc.

I have a fob from a 1985 308 GTS QV (given to me by the owner), which looks exactly the same.

    Interesting what some people value....

I got this one with the car. On the back is "A.E Loriol (I think, its hard to make out), Milano" The original owner bought the car in Italy.

I also have the A. E. Lorioli version. What's the difference between it and the O.M.E.A.?

Oh Patpong, the Dino fobs, if real, go for CRAZY money!

I guess I'm in the minority, as I prefer a BOTTLE OPENER on my keys!

Handy as my gf drinks Corona exclusively, and you can hurt your hand, if you don't have one close by........

this fob is omea fob and was used by ferrari during the sixties. the lorioli fobs didn't come into play until the 70's and they lasted well into the 80's. this is a rare fob. as for the most expensive, i couldn't tell you what it is. i have paid more than this for a dino fob, which, frankly doesn't make much sense. there is also a rare sterling silver fob that looks like this that was made by cartier during the eighties and market under the ferrari formula division.

I have 2 same fob(respect this O.M.E.A. fob): in one in the back side there are write "MOBISA MILANO" and in the other "I.C.O.R. MILANO". What is the history of this two?
    Thanks.

Patpong- Somebody paid $3000.00 last month for a OMEA Dino key fob on ebay (I no longer have the link), so I guess there is no limit on these things. Makes $735. look like a steal.

Fob is the name for the little jacket pocket made to store time pieces, et cetera. Key fob is the chain used to secure such an item to the pocket.

Fob is an old word meaning pocket.

it is unimaginable that a key fob would go for that price. I must have a $1000+ key fob...which dates back to the sixtees...it is a leather case and the key slides back into the fob not sure from what car...but the owner of the house which I bought and then found the key fob was a NART Ferrari driver and it could easily be one of those sixtees fob fobs..i'll try and take pictures to post...

About the price of a good lunch. I have a few in my desk. They are not uncommon.
