    Neptune....that's funny....you mean the old, wet guy with the trident. OK lets get back on track George. The tank you speak of is where you pour in the coolant. My tank is there in a vertical position, it is black, but if you look closely you will see the gold cap in the same location as the other Merak. The 1980 engine bay has a different arrangement than the previous Meraks.

    Have you seen anyone use a different air cleaner setup. Perhaps something that would show off the 6 pack arrangement of the carbs. Would this effect the engine performance? I would wonder if it would take away cool air and maybe rob the engine of a few pony's.

    Hi Wayne,

    Russ, who posts in the Maserati section has an awesome thread on his Mondial and air box modifications as it relates to the Weber DCNF carburetors in the 308/328/Mondial section.
