'93 348ts at 250kph floated like a mother, Testarossa 300kph (indicated) solid.
I was once in my 77 308 and raced neck to neck with the 348. I topped mine at 250 to 255 km/h. The 348 did not part away from me although it seemed trying and the road was open. So I guess either the driver had enough or the 348 is at its limit...
I have had my 348 with roof down at 300KPH at the end of the speedo. Not sure if did that speed is in real terms because I know the speedo's can be out on some cars. At the time a motorcycle was behind me and I ran out of speed (car flat out needle on the speedo at the bottom of 300KPH) and he slowly passed me. Taking a very slight bend on motorway at that speed you tend to use all three lanes.... Very exciting but scarey. The car felt really solid and quick upto about 250 KPH then seemed to struggle a bit till 270 / 275 KPH. But once passe that mark it seemed to go again. I was told its to do with the wind barrier being broken. Well something that anyway. It was a cold that day but dry. Air was really dense and no wind at all. Dense does help the engine.
