    I noticed these on F40 from the Ferrari Museum (I believe) that Maranello_Guy I think posted from his recent roundtrip from Poland through Germany and Italy. I've never noticed these on any F40 before, then I saw them again on a recent post in this particular subforum about a special edition F40 from Ontario. I'm inquiring, of course, about the rectangular red lights in the rear grill on the inside of the regular taillights.

    Those are rear foglights.

    Mandatory in some countries due to fog conditions..

    Those are fog lights required in some countries in Europe (Germany,Austria). This car may have been made for that particular segment of the market.

    Well as far as I know, only the prototypes have those lamps there....

    All the production cars that need those fog lamps had them in the lower bumper to my knowledge.

    yep , those lights in the above picture must be from a prototype as all the
    production F40 , s had rear foglights in the rear bumper , one on either side,

    Hello to all,

    up to the serial number # 77168 Ferrari build the fog light in the grill.
    (these are around the first 20 cars...)
    From s/n 77181 now on changed place in the rear bumper.
    That means also change of the engine bonnet cables...
