While vacuuming the car the vacuum found this spring in the driver's side footwell on my carpet. What does it go to, or did my shoes just pick something up?

Thanks as ALL help is ALWAYS appreciated.

It's a long shot, but could it be something related to the door lock mechanism?

It has been a while since I had the center console apart, but don't some of the switches use a similar spring to provide tension in the selected positions? Fan switch, for example?

Looks like the spring that goes inside the cigarette lighter - don't know how it could get on the floor.

Steven was pulling 6 g's around the local rotary (you Brits call them roundabouts) and it flew out of the console. He was at the time attempting to get his gf's bra to fly off.

    Just a guess?

    ;)

All switches seem to work properly. Cig lighter DEFINATLY works as i use it every drive :)

KTR just installed a new clutch cable, but that can't be to it???

    Hmm, could be ;) LOL

Speaking of drives... time for another one :)

Need to see if the new Dylithium crystals installed in the Warp drive can allow the car to reach warp 1 :)

Actually, am playing around with tire pressure and learning the limits of the changed brake system. Really need to show you guys this one road kinda near me. There is this turn that takes B@lls at speed. If you have too much understeer you hit this BIG rock. Will take a pic of the turn and post here in an hour or two :)

That's the spring from the jeans belonging to one of his many gf's. They're custom made to allow him quick and easy access. Must've popped loose after a satisfying meal.

Can't place it. Looks to be about 0.3" diameter & 1/2" long. Fairly weak with just a couple of turns of light gauge wire.

Just about every spring I can think of is either a lot smaller, or a lot heavier w/more turns, or both.

May be the spring behind the contact for bottom of a light bulb. About the right size. Contacts are often mounted on a fiber disc with a spring similar to this one behind the disc to provide pressure on the contact.

Yes, Indeed, this is one of TWO, Maseratti bra springs. We must impute, to our bretheren, only the most pure of motives. Of coarse, when the spring lets fly.......One must hope Stephen has sufficient resources to surmount any situation......even if it may seem inscrutable and impregnable.

If this is not the source of the spring, then, Perhaps, i have been the victim of a Double DDecit.

Alas, the world is often not as i might imagine :)

Well, duh! I thought everybody knew those springs are only found in Commemorative Missouri Quarters. Just as the actual Arch (which used to be called the "Spring" until that fateful day, don'tcha know) is spring-loaded, it is still what gives the arch it's distinctive shape and springiness, which makes it the quarter of choice for the aptly named drinking game of Quarters we all used to play with dull lifeless quarters in order to enliven dull, lifeless quarters of school 'n' stuff. Pictured below is a spring next to a proper Missouri Quarter.

Can't be seat belt buckle, the Schroth race buckle and it works fine. Good guess though!

Use Sparco race seats. Ummm... spring? We aint got no springs, just some fiberglass, padding, velcro, and cloth. As for a loose nut, that is the guy behind the wheel when driving and we KNOW his whereabouts :)
