    Just starting my search for a 599, and came across this HGTE variant at Algar. What is the significance of this badge, and is it a Ferrari badge or a dealer add on? I have emails into Algar but no response yet.

    My car has that badge on the glovebox. The original owners could have their signature made into the badge. I'm the second owner of my car so we pulled the badge off and replaced it with the same badge no signature. Ferrari of New Port Beach made that badge. I'd replace it!

    IMO the car has enough badges & cavallinos-remove it.

    My search for a 599 is on now too. What spec car are you looking for?

    Just started. Bought a book on 599s. Like the handling HGTE package. Wouldnt kick a manual out of bed for eating crackers but I think thats a ridiculous quest at this point. White, Blue, or Silver. Any suggestions on what else to consider? And I still havent heard from Algar on the badge.

    Taz, thats a great idea. and I will send that email off now. I started with Algar because they are the ones currently selling the car.

    I say again, my car had the original owners signature on the badge. When I replaced the badge I decided not have my signature on the car so the new badge is blank under the 599 GTB.

    That might be an after market badge, but I believe Ferrari would write whatever you wanted on that badge at the time of ordering.
