I have purchased a '96 F355 Spider. When I took the top down, I found a cable near the driver's visor that looks like a telephone cable. Does anyone know what this is used for? Is this used for the alarm? I looked at the manuals but couldn't find anything. Thanks for everyone's help. The information on this forum has been great. I am looking forward to enjoying a dream that I have had since I was 10 y/o.

    Thanks,

    JAFO

Probably a Valentine-1 radar detector. They use the RJ-11 connectors (I think that's the name)

I have a cable in the boot with an ordinary DIN connector.

Haven´t got a clue what it is for.

Thought it might have something to do with mech/electronic
diagnostics but those things didn´t exist 1991 did they?

Have to take the boot carpet off completely to find out since it is on the left side at the bottom of the trunk. Just under and behind that wooden "wall".
