Upon further inspection.....it is an Eclat.... WTF was Colin Chapman thinking???? He must've been drinking a couple pints at the pub before he drew that thing up!

Correct it is an Elite. The Elite has a glass rear hatch that opens. The Eclat had a boot that opened. The Eclat is slightly better looking but not much. I had one of the very first Eclats off the production line and it was the worst car I have ever owned.
