    Same hole in my dash. Appears to be an access hole for a tool. You can put your finger in the hole and feel another hole for perhaps a screw driver. Just my guess.

    Hmmmm.....on a 355, inside temp sensor goes in a similar place. I could look at a parts diagram but too lazy now :)

    Temp sensor is little grate shown in the pic just above that (when you turn your laptop upside down)

    If I recall, it's an access hole to remove one of the screws for the steering wheel shroud...but it's late and I've been drinking so......


    Empty beer bottle...Damn it....now I'm gonna have to go look at my car....

    Yup....access hole for column screw....new beer....ready to go

    You need it to reach one of the screws when you would like to the remove the steering colum covers.
