Just noticed this open fitting on my 488 spider located under the passenger side front bumper. It feels like it has an internal thread so I'm not sure if something came unscrewed and dropped off.

Anyone know what it is and if there should be something else fitted to it?

I believe that is where you place the towing hook if you need the car to be towed.

Yep, socket for installing your snatch hook. Often a mandatory requirement for track days. Even if not mandatory, it’s well advised you fit it so you avoid damage if you need to be pulled out of a sand trap

Thanks guys. With that info i was able to look it up in the owner's manual. It does mention a "Cover B" which needs to be removed so I guess something did drop off but shouldn't present any problems.
