Hi, what is this snapped cable?

Basically after braking really hard causing the brakes to lock, my 360spider started to make a flapping sound near the rear left wheels. On inspection, a cable seems to have snapped. No ABS or brake light, though my ABS light has started to recently flash only on ignition.

Funny the brakes would lock. Did you feel the ABS pulsing/chattering at all? Should have kept the brakes from locking.

That could be the brake pad wear sensor cable.

I think that could be a symptom of a weak battery. Is yours on a tender/how often do you drive the car&for how long/how old is the battery?

I'll bet you $100 that cable hasn't snapped. What it looks like is the rubber boot has perished and split open (has happened to me loads of times).

There will be a connector very close to the boot - it will either be a Junior Power Timer or Superseal connector. Figure out which one it is and how many wires are in there and you'll be able to order a new one. Personally, I just cut the boot off and wrap with self amalgamating tape.
