Its a door central locking actuator. From memory the 2v 308's had central locking operated by key on drivers side? Grim
It's a door locking solenoid. I don't believe any 308 had a factory central or keyless entry system so it's probably aftermarket
oh. wow. i've been getting by without any locking at all for the last year, let alone a central system. i think i'll just leave it there. thanks for the quick responses.
I think its supposed to make the 2 doors lock/unlocked together so you don't need to lean over? Mine had them in the doors but they weren't doing anything so I removed them vs screwing around trying to fix them.
The stock 308i-2V door lock actuator is item 41 here: https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/diagram/ferrari/308-gtbi-gtsi/107-doors As the others have already said -- that's an aftermarket replacement.
I was told Ford use the same actuators. I just don’t know exactly what model Ford. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have owned my QV for 28 years and I haven't locked my door a single time. I dont even know if the lock will work.
