This isnt quite true either. I found a used Diverter Valve off a 1980 GTsi, it arrived today, and it looks almost exactly like the DV44, which has the air inlet in the mounting flange, with a bracket that turns the inlet 90 degrees and then the mounting flange doenst mount to the engine, rather there is bracket that mounts to the engine. it looks like ferrari changed the design rather than having the mounting flange mount directly to the engine as with the GTS model year. in any event, the DV44 will work, you just need the special 90 bend and the mounting brackets... Hello- I'm actually trying to locate some of this lead shot at the moment, to do the same thing on my carbs. If you still have some, I'm definitely interested. Sorry for the public post- I wasn't able to send you a private message for whatever reason. --Josh
Well, all the carbs are back together. reamed and restaked lead plugs, new rebuild kit, new throttle bearings (sealed), one new throttle shaft (old was was slightly yaked up), reset throttle plates, all new linkages (pierce manifolds). Cam covers back on. In the process of doing this I had two problems 1) Cam seal popped out, had to pull the cam cover back off, and carefull reset the seal. Fortunately it went back in ok and seems to be setting fine. My fcar mechanic told me to hold the seal in with my fingers and torque the cam cover away from the seal. 2) I tried to pull the distributors out, making careful marks to install the same exact location but i botched that up and had to reset them per the manual, and going to need to retime the thing. Also, put the DV back in. Now, in the process of putting the carbs back on and resetting them up..... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
