    In a part #search it appears to be a carbon filter for the EVAP system most likely added to meet Federal standards. Part # transfers to a FIAT part number.

    Thanks. I was trying to determine if it was something I needed or not. I hadn't seen anything in that location on other 308's so I wasn't sure.

    Made by Dayco......definitely added to meet US regulations. I believe Dayco parts are made in the USA. At least I hear their belts are.
