    I'm guessing it's a breakout box that can sit between the ECU wiring connector and the ECU itself ?

    Is it for 2.7 or only for 5.2 ecu's (i guess the connectors and pinouts were different) ?

    I think 2.7 and 5.2 use different connectors to the ecu. Take a pic of the face of the connector.

    These are 55 pin and an 88 pin break out boxes.

    So.....

    2.7 (a la 348 / early 355) = 55pin
    5.2 = 88pin

    Cool. I was going to build something similar to pull data from my ECU. Nice to see what the factory/Bosch version looked like.
