Not really, but constantly reading "So and So sucks" is rather tiresome ... It's bordering on hate post after a while.
OK.. so your problem is the title of the thread but not what people say about different drivers. Got it! Because if we are going to stop talking about how drivers are under performing or screwing up, we might as well shut down the F1 section. It's a sport. It's not a religion!
As I said, discussing drivers' performance (or lack of) can still stay civilised and not turn into hate post. Why do people have to be so nasty is beyond me!
Fights broke out in the stands for the same reason. Nothing has changed but the venue and lack of black eyes and broken noses. We have come quite some way I'd say.
There is even an alternative internet extension to .Com called .Sucks https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-08-19/why-the-sucks-domain-doesn-t-have-to-suck Many companies and individuals are registering their own name in .Sucks for the purposes of brand protection (before someone else does). For example Amazon.Sucks Of course there are Trademark issues related to the registration of businesses TM, if the site is deceptive to consumers who may think they are actually at Amazon. But, if the obvious nature of a .Sucks site is to be a gripe site against a company without infringing upon the goods and services of their Trademark, or competing against the company using their own name, then it's perfectly legal. I see the sucks threads as a place to test your humour and wit. Rarely should anyone take any post totally seriously. None of us are the actual subjects or those with first hand experience of the person we are talking about. It's our thoughts and opinions, and that's healthy, whether others like it or not.
This thread sucks - agreed. If you don't like a thread then don't read it - exactly. OP wants other people to sensor his safe space - sad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You will never get universal agreement on any subject and it is unreasonable to expect the moderators to shield you from ever seeing something that doesn't align with your views and that you therefore don't like. I find many of the threads and posts in here juvenile and unworthy of my encouragement, so I don't respond to them. If you want to see more elevated material, then post it yourself. If enough like-minded people do so then the tone of the whole section will be raised - I'd love to see it. Do you feel this thread is raising the tone of the F1 section? If you see a trolling thread or post, please report it with the /!\ button in the upper right corner and I'll be able to investigate. I don't open threads that sound uninteresting to me unless someone reports them via the formal method for inspection. Clearly, as I've only just seen this, starting new threads to complain about others is not an efficient way to get my attention. Thread closed. All the best, Andrew.
