Chris, Wether you are saying that to your friends or not if you post it here it is in the public eye and will look bad for the board. If you want to say those things go out with your friends and talk how you want to talk say what you want to say(I just hope no one overhears you), but please keep it out of here. There Pat
Thank you. I was just a bit confused, because you made a warning comments "that is VERY close to ban", and you said "the comments was for both me and bruce". So I thought I did something wrong. oK, pLay oN plAyas!
1) Sam already ruled out the use of words. So its over, let it go. 2) Making the board look bad, does NOT equal that those 2 words are the same and carry the same negativity.
It is not the way you said it, it was WHAT you said: nOw LeTs sEe wHo gEts pIeCed oUt 1St? It is a jab at someone else, who then (surprise!) feels the need to retaliate.
Help me out here Chris on your 2nd point. You say that by saying those two words wouldn't reflect poorly on the board?
No problem, understood. Truthfully, I did not mean to use that to jab at anyone, it pretty much means "now let the game begin" sort of way. But you are the Mod, you make the call. Thank you for pointing out.
With all due respect to all involved, why pursue this in public? I am not here to change attitudes. The only thing I can even hope to do is control conduct on the board. If Chris says he will respect my request, that's good enough for me. I thus ask that the matter be dropped or moved to private discussion.
Well, do not want to type out the exact words, cuz Sam's rule is fully enforced now. So, the 6 letter word, is racist slur, which I never use. The 5 letter words, is slang, which I did use, so did other people. Personally, I think it's fine to use the 5 letter words. But if you insist it makes the board look bad, fine, I respect your opinion. But that does not mean I think they are equal words. Since they are not equal, then I think I have won the bet. That's what I meant.
I don't think we will ever agree on the use of the two words or their meanings. So you go right ahead and do what you need to do with respect in using those words. I just hope for your well being that you don't use either in a public location again since you never know who might be listening. I would hate to read about it. As far as the bet goes we will always be at a stalemate on it since we disagree with the core problem (the use of the 2 words). Take care Chris
