A few years ago I saw an interview of a navigator in a rally event:

Sorry I can't remember who to credit this quote to. A car has fallen off the track and bashed into the wall when the announcer quipped "He got into the corner too deep and ran out of talent".

 

In an interview with a Formula Atlantic driver in the early 1990s (I can’t remember his name but he was a regular series contender who made his money, or his family did, in oil- someone please help me out) was asked what he thought his chances were in the race as he was just off Pole. His reply was:

“I plan to either win, lose, or crash.” And then just walked off.

A few years back when he placed on the podium he said the same in his interview (I believe when RB passed him when he made a bad turn). The SpeedTV commentators apologized for him, lol.
