    Guys,
I am doing some research on what makes a good website good. So what are you favorite automotive websites and why? What keeps you going back to these sites? Also who are your favorite online retailers? Thanks in advance.

the only thing that keeps me going back to the sites, except craigslist of course, are the members. If it's filled with a bunch of jerks then I come and go. The initial draw into a site for me is a specific interest and site functionality. Been on numerous sites where I try to search for some information and I just get redirected to the archives, or totally u,related topics.

I don't really have any stand out favorite websites, but I CAN tell you what a website might have that ensures I will never return:

    1) Takes too long to load.
    2) Takes too long to find what you want aka bad navigation
    3) Sounds, music, noises, etc. (unless it is primarily a multimedia website)
    4) Too many graphics and colors
    5) Too many advertisements

A website should let me get to the content I want quickly and effectively. No more, no less.

I like it here on FChat because we have some real folks that actually have a clue, and won't 'blast' a person much...

Outside of here I like motorsport.com because you can talk racing nostalgia there with people that actually KNOW it...
