OK...I tried to play nice...but the owner has clammed up and won't tell us all what kind of wheels these are, even though I PM'd him, so I'm putting it out there.

Anyone know what kind of wheels these are and where to get them? I've got a black 328 and think this look is hot!

    Thanks!

They appear to be Gotti wheels with the centers painted black. The Gottis normally had gold centers. I am not sure where to get them but they do appear used on E-bay from time to time. As for the pic of the car, what's with the power antenna. It looks like a remote control car. That thing is huge!

My guess is: Compomotive 17"s with painted centers. The backs look pretty wide - 9"s, maybe even 10"s.

To me they look a lot like some DP wheels I had on my NSX. The centers look to be a different shape but the lip looks the same. If they are DP's, the company is no longer around so you would have to find them used.

Here is a link with some pics. Wheels are 16/17" but they sure looked too small! :) Good Luck! Mike

If you count the bolts between spokes, yours have more. Also note the 5-point star is cut short on the Gotti, whereas the Etoile has longer 'legs'. So i believe those are Etoile rims that have been painted black (Gotti bought Etoile out years ago i think). Have a set of 16-inch (7 front/ 8 rear) Etoile rims here with snow tires for winter use.

I have enhanced the one photo...hope this helps.

Thanks for all the comments. I'm trying to find a pic I had of a 308QV I used to have on my computer that had Gotti's because I think that's a good lead.

The key is perhaps the rivets. They're against a black background which would seem to rule some suggestions out.

I think the NSX ones have too much convex, but they were close.

    Thanks!

The Etoile rims have no rear 'center cap,' you need to just glue on whatever you want. Those black rims are painted Etoile.

And from what I've seen they're unobtainable, right?

Well... think only 10 sets ever made it to America i was told (from memory). Have a set here (ducks and hides because tomatoes will be thrown at me) but use them for winter snow driving and deep winter storage so they have Blizzak WS50 rubber on them.

My apologies, have never seen them for sale and this set is not for sale. They are nice rims, the weight of them is not super lite like Kinesis, but weight less than many low-priced rims (not naming names to protect the guilty).

I think they are Gotti's . I just bought a set . They are 2 piece with polished rims . Fronts are 7 1/2 and the rears are 8" . You can see below. Look sharp on Red car.

Looking at the areas outside of the black I think you may be right, as there seems to be a flat area outside of the black before the rim folds and makes it's dish.

Did you just get yours new? Or were they used.

    Thanks!

Used but in excellant shape. I just need to put new rubber on the rears and I'm go to go. The 14" goes into storage. I don't know if they make these anymore. Enjoy the ride

You are right, i am wrong (please accept my apologies). Re-rezed the pic in Photoshop and also played with Levels. You can see the tell-tale lug holes. The Etoile has covered lugs. Etoile was purchased by Gotti and neithter is made today :(

    Thanks guys!

As one who was not a huge fan of Gotti's, it's amazing to me what a change of color can do. Wow.

    Oh well, keep looking.....

IMHO, 308's should have nothing but 16" factory Ferrari 5 Star wheels. Everything else just looks toylike. Even 355 wheels look funny on 308's. BTW, those aren't Gotti, they're gawdy. But, that's just my opinion. :)

I have some Etoile 16"s but mine have WAY more rim bolts than Steve's...

They were clear coat with gold reveals until I finally rattle canned 'em silver last weekend! Much better!

The other notable difference is mine have a strange lug hole shape, the bolts nest in the inner circle of what I can only call a double drilled well...as a second circular machining lets you stick your fingers into the recess and spin the bolts!

The circle they nest into is so tight many lug sockets won't fit down it!

I didn't paint the flat flange as he did, only the actual center casting......

It's all good, though at shows and track events it appears many guys like...

Plus i can use various rubber and the rims are 17-inch. Another benefit is if you are truly driving the car on track, and need brakes that STOP and can stay cool, you may desire larger rims. Have two sets of Kinesis K27 17-inch rims, threw away the stock metrics (literally), and have the 16-inch Etoile. Have a deal going right now for a set of BBS rims IF they have enough clearance for the brakes. So guess i am a rim wh*re as this will make four sets of rims here, with an additional set being tossed in the dumpster.
