I have been searching the net for a good map of Italy to see what cities are close to the factory but I have not found a good map as of yet. Anyone who might know of a link please post it. Thanks

Are you a member of the Ferrari Owners Site? I believe there is a "How To" on getting to Maranello there...

i believe Milan is the closest 'large' city. The drive takes about 90 minutes or so as i recall (depending on traffic and your driving speed).

Bologna is much closer than Milan. From Bologna you take A1 Nord to Modena Sud and go about 20km to Maranello. From Milan, you exit at Modena Nord.

You are correct - Bologna is only 45 km from the factory. Other cites to fly into are Milan & Florance. I always try to get into Bologna. A nice little drive to the factory.

Traffic is a big consideration in getting to the factory. I was late from Venus due to traffic and being late is a fatal mistake. Luckily there was a hugh accident that caused 14 people to be late and so a special tour was held. I would stay at Maranello if you want to be sure to be on time. I allowed 2 extra hours on a less than 2 hour drive. Have fun on your trip.

In 1985 I was in Milan and took a day trip to the Maranello factory. If I remember right it was about three or four hours on the Autostrada to the factory. We did not understand the system and forgot to take the ticket the machine gives you when you get on the highway, and had to pay the toll from the furthest exit when we got off the highway. I remember driving a three cylinder opel wide open for almost an hour and attaining a speedo reading of 170 km/h. Then being passed by an AMG Mercedes going around 150 mph. It is a great day trip, but you have to have reservations now.

Sometimes on Sunday nights coming back from Mars the upper atmosphere gets a bit clogged up too - tho I find turning left at Uranus an effective detour.....
