Not really positive what that word, "fake" means. Vintage Ferrari's have become so valuable that for some time it has been financially worthwhile to find an old world fabricator, mostly in Europe and have them create a new original body. Does that make it a "fake"? In my opinion, definitely not. However, if an owner makes it into something it wasn't and tries to pawn it off as say a GTO, then it is definitely a "fake." If the actual chassis is there for the car it is purported to be, that is the key element that makes it authentic.
