    Hello from Germany,

I like the display cases you have. I don't talk about that big cabinet for the 1:43s, but the single cases for your bigger scale models. When I search the web I can only find those crappy cheap plastic ( polysterene ) cases, but yourss seem to be decent acrylic ones.
Do you have any hints, where one can find those ?

    Best Regards and thank you

    Martin

    Martin,
I have a shop that makes them custom for me. the shops name is plexi-line and its a small company in Holland.

There must be similar companies in germany, the process of making them is not that difficult, I have his emailadress somewhere, I'll PM it to you as soon as I find it...

The bigger models like the Brianza's and MG's are sold with these cases, overtime or in the mail they get cracks and I want them replaced, the models are to fragile without them.

a few more of the big ones.. all 1:14 Carlo Brianza, MG14 and HE14

    Hi Hans,

what is your impression of the Brianza 1:14 California SWB Spider regarding the quality? Have you got more pics where it is possible to see some details? Just curious...

Yes, they are quite rare and expensive.
It took me 10 years to gather them, adding their initial shopprices, I am halfway a to a 308....
I never paid that kind of money for them, the fun of collecting is getting them on auctions, ebay etc for acceptabel prices.

They came to me from all across the world. From Canada, the US, Germany, France, Italy and Japan.
Some are restaured, some came in mint condition, a fellow F-chatter was so kind to give me one for free, which needed quite some work, but looks great now.
The history that came with them, makes them even more special.

Because the scale is not common and production is very low, they are not that popular, untill you see one.
You have to realize these are made by hand, the maker created it from a lumb of clay or wax and formed the shape without any computeraid used nowadays.

Detail is very 1980's but has a certain charm. I prefer it over a kyosho or Tamiya because of the crafts and skills that were applied to build them.

I have only seen 1 collection with more than the 12 I have, that was in Belgium at ecurie Francorchamps.
There must be collections with more, there are some renowned collectors that will have the whole series.

Nowadays these models are still new available from Brianza.
Andrea, son of Carlo builds them to order. Mine are all made before 1996, the year carlo passed away.
Its a special feeling to know they were made by the creator. Buildquality of older ones is also a bit cleaner.

There are 2 more california's made in 1:14
Modellistica in Tradate has built them.
    1
A covered headlight swb like the brianza, trunk doesn't open, made for HE14.
HE14 is a series made for the Milano 43 shop of paolo Tron in Milan. Official name of the series was HE14 by Enrica(paolo's wife).
There 6 different models made in that series. A california, 250LM, 275nart spider, 512BB, and the rarest (most wanted by me!), a 412P and a 250TR1958.
    2
An open headlight version, made under the modellistica Tradate name, which appeared on ebay last month, which I unfortunately lost.....

In the early days of MG model plus, when the made models under the name MG14, they made 4 1:14 ferrari's.

    please elborate on that one.

No authorizations for a P4/5 miniature have been given out yet. And BBR certainly doesn´t offer one at this time.
