    The internal door gas charged sticks must have failed... the car needs a floor mounted pole assist to hold the doors open.

    It could be a precaution, I can't imagine it being good for the doors to stand open month after month, unsupported.

    I might have some more pictures of it somewhere... My dad sold it for an almost identical Black on Red car that he owns today...the black black black was a little too much!
