With many of our Italian stallions slumbering in their stables during the northern hemisphere winter of discontent, what's on your project list? Of course, many projects lead to MORE projects you didn't expect, and that's what's happened to me...

    1. Get PPF on front of car and inside of windshield to protect from UV - which led to...
1.1 Clear coat on bumper is pealing, so get front bumper repainted - which led to...
1.2 Get AutoMods skid plates installed
Status is: PPF is done except for the bumper - which is at the paint shop - so waiting on bumper to get done and I'll install the skid plates before reinstalling. Then will be a few months of paint cure before putting the PPF on the bumper.

    2. Leatherique the dash leather

    3. Replace taillights with Morimoto LED - which I did and led to...
3.1 Center/rear brake light now doesn't work, so get that sorted out after car returns

    4. Replace passenger seat pressure sensor - as dash light is on and that's the most likely fix

    5. Get second key fob to set/clear alarm. According to this thread https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/key-code.559875/ should be easy

Replace the front top cylinder as it's leaking. Been lazy though and I know I'm going to hit warmer weather and will have the car down when I want to drive it most.

Also of note, hydraulic fluid will melt/ruin your rear plastic window. I have weird drip marks etched into it now :(

Side note, if anybody is replacing their OEM top with a new one, can I have your old/worn top? I want to pattern out a new design.

Passenger door latch is getting unpredictable enough that it's time to bin it...got a new one staring at me on my desk here, just dreading going balls deep in the door disassembly (and it's been unusually cold here in Raleigh).

I have three items I need to do:

    - Realign my exhaust tips. They’re close after my exhaust manifolds replacement but not close enough.
    - Adjust my left outer taillight. It’s adjusted too far outward.
    - Condition all the leather.

Hoping I can knock all three of these things out during an upcoming weekend, but the way things have been lately I may end up combining them with my next annual in April.

Yeah, disappointing. The good thing is that since it's tinted, it's harder to see things like that than if it would have been clear. It might sounds silly, but I kind of want to go through the replacement process again. I feel like I learned a good bit the first go around and I want to try some new things and modify some of the canvas. I feel like there's room for improvement.

Just finished a full clutch replacement, new headers, aftermarket exhaust, valve cover gaskets, etc. Just have the serpentine belt left and align the new exhaust tips. Supposed to be in the 30's here this week, so I'll venture back to there garage to wrap it up.

    1. Find source of LH tail light not working as running light. Have done a little bit of troubleshooting and my situation seems different than the more common replace fuse/front RH indicator bulb socket. I believe it might be a wire short in the harness between the tail lights and where it plugs in behind the driver's seat.

    2. Oil change and engine mounts.

    3. Kline cats and exhaust plus new charcoal canister.

    4. Fix sagging headliner. Thinking about redoing it in beige alcantara.

Finish rebuilding my ABS Unit, get the lights in my cluster working and swap the face, install a more OEM up/down linkage arm instead of the homemade one I have been using.

    Thanks for posting, boys.

I've been shoveling cash into the maw of my money pit for about two months - hoping I’m close to done - makes me feel better to see other guys with long to-do lists! :)

I can let you have a pic of the correct length socket setup, so you can get a torque wrench in there.
Tail light fix, is your fix the single post broken ? I have a fix

I bought my car in October. So far, I've...

-Swapped black w/ yellow piping seats for black & in better shape
-Had shop reseal AC condenser line
-replaced clutch master cylinder & bled

Thing's I would like to do:
-Refinish interior door opening handles, not sticky but scratched up
-Refinish various switches from poor sticky fix in the past
    -Leatherique dash, seats, doors
-Eventually, pull suspension and send to Madeno for rebuild

Some of that might happen in the winter

    That would be great, thanks!

I have a new rear light and then I bought the reinforcement kit as well. Will replace the one light and then reinforce them all with the kit.

I did my winter Ferrari list already...

Stickies addressed with CF for interior door locks, cups, and passenger's hand pull. I also installed Carbon Fiber air-boxes and a coolant tank cover all from Exotic Car Gear in Pennsylvania.

Spring will be Annual Service (it's the bigger one) and I want to send my fluids out for analysis. I will also have my calipers looked at as I think I may need Hill Engineering rebuilds for sticky pistons. I will also try to finally have my interior rear window replaced because the seal popped in between the panes causing some clouding in the summer.

I will also need to look at replacing my 4-year-old tires either in the spring or fall depending on how my schedule works out. I promised my GT3, that she would get some extra love first starting with my freshly refinished carbon fiber steering wheel later this week. I haven't met a piece of factory Porsche carbon fiber that hasn't needed refinishing for cracks yet. Ferrari carbon turns yellow/white with minimal small stress cracks in the epoxy and Porsche's epoxy gets yellow with massive cracks even in places where there isn't any stress. Does anyone here have a Carrera GT or 918, how does the carbon stand up?

CCM callipers ? Take the caliper off the disc and put a length of wood between the pistons, press the brakes and see if they all move- do they retreat back in. If you need help to get seized pistons out I have a method and send you pics of what’s needed. Very cheap way but very effective. 2 of mine were seized solid

I was figuring that I'd just have Fonzie from J.Scuderia in NJ check them the 1st week of March when I'm in for service and plan for him to have the car a week or so longer if they need a rebuild.

If they are CCM and corroded the hill repair kit is over £1000 these days, a real fight to get the old ones out.
