Most likely the majority use the PC. I was just curious how many people use the Cyclo, since I think it's the perfect polisher, and how many people use a rotary.

If you select "Other", post what it is that you use.

I use the manual-polisher (random) It is attached to your wrist and you have a very intuitive control over it. I am ascared of the mechanical type.

    I use 2:

    - a HF air rotary polisher with a foam pad for heavy polishing, such as removing any fine orangepeel from newly sprayed paint.

    - A Craftsman DA air sander with 3M Finesse it eggcrate pads for wax & glaze polishing.

IMHO, It's more the skill of the user than the specific tool.

The new Griot's random orbital is NOT a re-badged Porter. It's Richard Griot's own customized, special-manufactured design. I have both the old Griot-Porter orbital and his newer one. The newer one is MUCH improved, though the old one certainly wasn't bad. If anyone is interested in buying my Griot-Porter, let me know via PM.

A good friend who owned a detailing business said never to use a machine unless your dealing with serious oxidation.Do it manually , and take your time.
