This is quite impressive. Thought only the oil princes had the custom Boeings. Dunno ... I'd still take a Supercar with radar detector over a plane.
A Challenger is a great plane. It is essentially a Canadair Regional Jet that a lot of communter airlines fly, just shorter. In fact, the CRJ is derived from the Challenger. They have a pretty commanding pressence on the ramp compared to smaller jets. They are very roomy inside, and the 604's have just enough headroom for me to stand up straight (6 feet 1 inch floor to ceiling). The 604's have a bit more range than the earlier 601 models and it can fly New York to Moscow or Seattle to Tokyo very easily. They are powered by GE turbofans which most people will tell you are significantly quieter than most other jet engines. This translates into happier neighbors and a quieter ride in the cabin. Here is a good representation of one for sale right now. http://www.aso.com/i.aso/AircraftView.jsp?aircraft_id=80493
I started a new thread on this so I didn't "hijack" this one. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=24255 Member Registration Fee: $110 Advance/$145 On-Site Non-Member Registration Fee: $135 Advance/$160 On-Site http://web.nbaa.org/public/cs/amc/2004/register.php
OH....LOL No, I don't think they've anounced it yet. But, I think around $376,000.00 US.. Just f..ing w/you
I seriously doubt it will be anywhere near that low. That might be the ballpark they are looking at for a deposit perhaps. The $1 million mark is a lofty goal to get below, and there are very few even close to that. There have been several manufacturers who have tried it, only to eventually raise that price target. The Eclipse jet is the only one right now that is close to that price point. http://www.eclipseaviation.com/
Yes..... that's the whole "f...ing with you" part. I was just kidding. I'm familiar with Eclipse. I've been in their test plane.
