Is it true that your mate PornoMax is under pressure now from all over the world to stand for re-election. And why are you letting him continue to jeopardize the peace agreement. He won't go back on his word now would he, he did say he was standing down...
[Dons flamesuit] I'm sorry guys, but while Ron and I beg to differ on many points, he was asking a pretty serious Q in the OP. The majority of the answers are frivolous (some admittedly funny) at best, and not worthy of his serious consideration at worst...... Maybe this is the reason he doesn't listen to the "fans". Given an opportunity to "confront" him, the best we can do is ask silly Q's about screwing his daughter etc....... Disappointing. [Although, I'm still working on my Q btw!] Cheers, Ian
Ok, in all seriousness: "If we are to promote F1, why can't we expand into South, and North America where there is a large fan base, and more vehicles on the road than most Asian countries? These two areas have over a half century of history in racing only to show Brazil today."
True, but let's be honest - is Bernie going to give a real answer or a PR-puffed one? He won't answer any questions about anything not-F1, and anything F1 will be fed through the cheese grater enough times that the answer is so cheesy to be inedible.
I'm shocked! I'd have thought honest and poignant answers to F1 fans would be foremost on Bernie's mind, to the detriment of his personal benefit in every case!
Maybe he's taking the holiday weekend off. I'm wondering why they're doing this. Is Bernie trying to appear as a friend of the fan after seeing the crowd turn on Max? Who knows, they may actually take note of what fan concerns are.
I'd wager it has more to do with Luca's clenched fist imprints on Bernie's testicular region than with Bernie's new-found compassion for the plight of the fans.
I don't think I used the word compassion. In any case it does look like he might be taking Max's fate to heart.
Of course, it's going to be the latter. However, this type of Q is where the great "questioners" (typically journalists) score immense points.... "One question, yes or no answer...." Done right, he *has* to answer or look foolish.... I was hoping "we" may be able to do it..... Cheers, Ian
Well, there's your problem - you were thinking this forum was filled with enlightened thinkers... but it's more like the sidewalk of a cheap pub 10 minutes after closing on a Saturday night
Michael, the purpose of my thread had nothing to do with BE actually giving an answer, he's not. I did not ask whether or not he would respond to such a poll, he's not. I only asked for opinions for those of you that take F1 seriously and wanted to share what you felt was pertinent. These constant comments about Ecclestone and Mosley do not show that at all, they only demonstrate a narrow minded obsession with the minutia of the situation. Just answer the question, as difficult as that is for some. Ian is quite correct, I took F1's poll seriously, and really wanted to get different viewpoints. Kinda like the FIA/FOM/FOTA jerk around of the last two months, some took the FIA's position, more took FOTA's position, then me, I felt they were all FOS, but there were some good points they each made. Most of the answers here on this thread are just plain silly (kindly put), and like yours, not to the point. That or thinking beyond insults is not an attribute of the typical FChatter. To address this thread, I doubt if Ecclestone would ever publically acknowledge anything or anyone that did not agree with him. He would have to make it appear that it was his decision. So I never would begin to imagine he would respond to a magazine poll. But, after everything that has happened recently in the fantasy world of F1, he might actually listen. Anyway, it appears to me my original question was actually decent. All I want out of this is an F1 race in within 3 hours flight of Florida or Chihuahua, preferalby in an English speaking country, although Circuit Rodriguez could be interesting. Bernie, gimme a GP in Indianapolis or Montreal. You height or you haircut is not important, and if I were a 70 year old female troll, I might think you were cute. Just bring back F1 to North America, and don't screw with F1's home turf of Europe. Thank you.
Ron, I think your thread and your question were good and honorable. The problem is Bernie is neither good nor honorable.
