Valentine One, for K / Ka / Your going to need a laser jamming system for counter measures against it . Hard installed radar guns on police cruisers use Ka , all the hand held guns are laser , so no chance unless your using a jamming system thats on full time when your in your car.

I have the escort 360 max built in w laser

Laser saved me more than once. Ka when they're parked and shooting .

But traveling in the opposite directions, Ka got me. Never had a chance, and though he had a way to go to turn around , I wasn't going to try and hid, my exits were too far apart.

 

My eyeballs and my mirrors. 16 years and zero tickets.

 

I have an escort 9500 that I usually forget to use, putting to much trust into them just gets you in trouble! I try not to speed in the city by more than 5-6 mph and on the highway slow down before cresting a hill or rounding a corner because that where they like to hide to surprise you.
Yes I get a ticket every few years, but no big deal old points have usually expired by the time I get a new one and with 2 or 3 points on my license they've never raised my rates.

 

Depends how techy/ tweaky you want to get.

Escort Max 360C / Redline Max360C is basically the iPhone of radar detectors. Easy to use and works very very well.

Valentine One Gen2 might be technically better in a few places, but to get the most out of it, you really have to bring in third party apps- or so my friends tell me. So it seems like the Android type choice.

There is also this Radenso detector- supposedly truly excellent but I have no experience with it- my friends have the V1 G2 and I have the Escort detectors.

Also pair any of this with Waze and most importantly, good common sense.
