Does anyone know EXACTLY how each dealership handled the customer(s) that had deposits on a 360 and now are not going to get one? The reason why I'm asking...there is a possible law suit against a dealership that had taken deposits for 360's and of course could not deliver all the cars. Now some of the customers are threatening a law suit if they are not put first on the F430 list. How are other dealerships handling the problem of unfilled 360 contracts?

They'll probably just shift them over to the F430 "list" ;) The one's that were a real PIA will again be shifted to the next car after the F430's done.

Why would anybody still be on a dealer's waiting list for a 360? There would seem to be more than enough 360s available on the market, many of them with little or no mileage. If someone really wanted a 360 to drive he could have one with little or no waiting.

Interesting question, I had a similar thought, we have 30 lawyers(we do alot of contract work) on staff here and I asked them that question after talking to my dealer about the samething. According to them it depends on how the sales contract is written. If it says that they are waiting for a 360 to be delivered at MSRP and there is no promise of a car, their opinion was that they would have little legal ground to stand on.

"Now some of the customers are threatening a law suit"

Now, there's a group of guys with too much time and money on their hands. There are beautiful 360s for sale everywhere, in every color and spec, and some unhappy "enthusiasts" - most of whom, I'll bet, have never done business with Ferrari - actually propose to invest in a lawsuit. IMO, a true enthusiast doesn't sue Ferrari. Felt the same way when I read about Porsche guys trying to put together a class action suit over the carbon ceramic brakes.

Contract? hahahha. they just took deposits, told the customer that they'd get the car, and that was that. Everybody knew the sooner or later Ferrari was going to change models. Some dealerships keep taking deposits, some didn't.

So would you if Porsches miracle discs, originally rated at 300,000KM life expectancy, suddenly started to crack after 2 trackdays. Not bad at £16,000 replacement.

This is going to be a big problem. What are dealers doing about this issue?
