Many beautuful pictures of your Ferraris being posted here. What resolution is your digital camera? 2M? 3M? 5M? >6M? What would be the best resolution when taking close-up pictures? Any close-up pictures taken with your digital cameras? At what resolution? I am just curious...

I always use the highest quality with my Digital Rebel which is 6.3 MP.

I always take my pics at max resolution........and I've found htht enhancing the contrast gives the cars a glossy wet look.

Maybe I didn't quite understand your question but the higher the MP
and optical zoom, the better the picture. Unfortunately though, it doesn't mean you can post here at Fchat any size/resolution you want; the max size allowed here is 640 x something. Hence my statement above.

I shoot 1.8 MP with a cheap POS and it works okay for posting here. We are only allowed 640 X 640 anyway.

I have a 4MP Canon Powershot G2. I think it takes great shots for what it is. They have now introduced the G6, a 7.1 MP update. So mine is 4 generations behind. It's still a good all around camera and I usually only shoot 2MP anyway. It's true what other posters are saying, that you can only post a max 640 x 480 so they have to be reduced.

Even small res shots can be manipulated.......

Here is a shot I took on my Sony CyberShot. 5mp @ 1280 x 960. At this size I can save 50 shots on one 32mb chip. (can you name this car?)

1st shot is the full picture.
2nd shot is a croped section of the picture at 100%

For me the resolution works great!

A fokkin CGT!!!! If you had been in the driver's seat, I'd have had to kill you. :) j/k

I take all my pics at max res on Sony DSC-W1 (2450 by something), medium compression. If I foresee a really nice picture, I'll just put it to minimal compression (don't know if I can shoot RAW, haven't tried yet). For stationary shots, I like doing a 4shot ... making 4 pictures a larger one. Gives good results, but needs to be s-t-e-a-d-y! (subject).

I hate FChat's small pics. Bnadwidth limits us all. :)

Does anyone have any pictures taken of a red Ferrari with a Canon 300D (Digital Rebel)? Thanks... I always shoot highres when it comes to F-cars... Only once have I shot low-res, and that was because I was low on space on my cards...

I should have some for you in the near future. I just got the camera a month ago and have not encountered any red f cars yet. Perhaps that will change this weekend if I visit the dealership.

What lenses do you have for your 300D? I can use all the EF lenses we've got for the rebel 2000, along with the battery pack, cable shutter realease and flashes... Thanks for the link.

Yeah Dana, that camera might be a POS, but it took such a nice photo of my car, I'm now using it for my profile photo!

My HP 945 has 1-5mp variance. It has a quick share feature that sizes them for that e-mail function...but here on F-chat, I reduce their size and re-title them for quick access when "browsing" to attach photos to a post. PeterB.

Right now I only have 2 Sigma lenses. 1 70-300mm DL Super Macro and a 28-80mm. I see you have a different battery grip, how do you like it? Is it usefull or does it add worthless weight to the camera?

    Ok, I lied................

Well actually just forgot that I changed the settings back to 4MP. So that's what I'm shooting now w/ compression it yields about 200+ shots on my card.
