Come on Alex ... this is the one I got you on ... you challenged me to find a Ferrari you didn't know about ... this was in '92-'93, right about the time you bought your first Ferrari(I think it was your first)

    :)

    408.....hmmmmm.
Was that the one that fit between the 328 and and 348, or was it a journalist's bad dream after a huge Mexican dinner? Four wheel drive - Oh yeah - it was the Jeepari!

I still don't remember, but '92 is about right for my first Ferrari.

It was a rolling lab built by Ferrari Engineering out of the Scaglietti works in conjunction with Canada's Alcan Intl

A lambo guy started the project ... who was it?

    I remember that one!

It would go in the classic section. It came out during the 328 years. 88 IIRC.

According to Keith Bluemel's book, Orginal Ferrari V8 pages 12-14, The car came out in 1988. Ferrari worked with a Canadian Company, Alcan to produce a pair of mid engined V8 prototypes with Aluminium chassis and 4 wheel drive. According to the book, they were rolling test beds.

Ugly as hell. Looks like a Consulier or whatever that crappy K car powered so called exotic was named in the early 90s.

I saw the 408 chassis at the factory museum back in 03. To those who have gone recently, is it still around?
