Looks pretty full for me Nascar Sprint Cup Nascar Busch Series Nascar Craftsman Trucks Indy Racing League American Le Mans Series ChampCar MotoGP (plus supporting races) Not too bad, except for the missing F1 race
If any, Sebring (ALMS), and maybe tbe Indy 500(IRL). Sold my Daytona 500 tickets, but if I feel better, would like go. Would love to go Montreal for the GP.
In person: Ferrari Challenge Grand Am Rolex GT F1 - Montreal On TV, hopefully: F1 ALMS Champ Car Grand Am Rally cars MotoGP CORR Indy Car
In attendance: almost all ALMS races (Ron, see you in Sebring!) LMS - Monza & most probably Silverstone (European Ferrari Challenge support races amongst others) FIA-GT - 24 Hours of Spa Le Mans 24 Hours Historics in Monaco Sadly, no F1 races this year. Suffice to say, I think we'll stay busy for a few months! Carol
I so love LeMans, best event I ever attended, lucky you Carole. Except for one, the year that Dale Jr won at Daytona in July after his dad died in February. That was unbelievable, the best, 125,000 people cried including me. Even my ex-wife agrees. But great races like that will never repeat, so LeMans rules.
All events at Mid-Ohio Grand Am Vintage Cars Vintage Bikes Superbikes ALMS IRL NASA Nationals Then Petite LeMans Moto GP I said in 1995, I would never go to an IRL event but they came with my season pass at Mid-Ohio. I saw practice and qualifying but did not stay for the race. I loved the Indy 500 until the split. Time wounds all heals so I may go to at least practice or qualifying for the Indy 500 but will be disappointed that Ashley Judd is no longer involved. Tried to work in Montreal, but no. One more ALMS event to be decided. I'm taking a lot of grief from a couple of buddies for not going to watch them run Modified dirt cars. Spent last night drinking beer at their shop. They cherry pick money events in the east US. $750K transports. 860 HP and 160 MPH on 1/2 mile tracks.
See you at Mid-Ohio; plan to do Audi hospitality again at Petit and Laguna Seca (join us there!) Carol
what is the best ALMS race to go to? I have been told its Sebring, but the only one I have ever seen was at TMS a few years ago.
I'll be going to Sebring this year, but this time I will put the camper on the outside of the track. It was a real mud pit last year.
For attendance in '08: Loudon - Vintage Race Mid-Ohio - IRL/ALMS Mt. Washinton - Hillclimb Limerock - Vintage Race Maybe a day at New England Dragway Watch F1, MotoGP, and other series' on TV Road America in '09?
I'll be at Mid-Ohio for basically everything i can make it to next year. Season passes rule I also already have my tickets for the Moto GP race at Indy.
Almost forgot, we're also going to attend the NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex. Great fun, though top fuel is sure rough on the ears. John
Once upon a time... my goal was to go to (see) the 3 crown jewels of modern endurance racing all in the same year...24 Daytona, 12 Sebring, 24 Lemans. Spending 3 months in FLA over the winter easily coverd the first 2...my lazy a$$ coulnd't get to France. Back to the OP.... This year I plan on 12 Sebring ALMS IRL or Cart: Milwaukee (whichever shows up) SVRA Vintage (Road America) Vegas (Nascar) Hopefully some others.
Champ Car in Portland, OR ALMS and IMSA Lites in Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca or Petit Le Mans http://www.imsa-lites.com/
