Hello guys, at the age of 34, I think it is about time to pursue my dream; that is own some thing exotic, I’m thinking to spend around $150k cash as soon as I get my boss’s approval (my wife), the only problem is I can’t make up my mind, looking for something just for fun, maybe drive it 2~4 times per week, following is the list of the cars I’m interest in, it will be great if I get some opinion or suggest from you guys, what would you get? and why?

    99-00 Ferrari 360 (F1 Trans)
02 Aston Martin Vanquish (seem some used around $165k)
05 Aston Martin DB9 (seem some used around $150k)
    04 Lamborghini Gallardo (e-gear)
01 Lamborghini Diablo 6.0 (seem some higher mileage selling around $160-175, but is it reliable?)
    04 Bentley GT

Why don't you sell your Cartier first. Then you can order floor mats for your new 150K car!

I see someone didn't read the rules when they signed up.

Hey Mark, is it bu-bye time or are we going to play with him for a bit?

I have a little trouble believing that since you were using it just today. Several subscribed members have already been expressing their doubt about your legitimacy behind the scenes and this doesn't exactly help you. You are hardly in the first kid to show up here pretending to have money.

Hey, if you guys think it's a big problem, delete me, life goes on.... I don't really know much about this website's policy, sorry if I did anything against the rule.

I'm inclined to let him stay and try to explain things for a while.... blah blah blah..... unless he somehow pulls some kind of proof of legitimacy out I figure we will just wait until he does something dumb and get rid for good.

Well in the off chance that you have $150,000 I would say go for the 6.0. I'm not sure why somebody would lie about asking what they should buy for money but I've seen worse.

Now that I've thought about it...

Save up just about $10k more and splurge for a Ford GT.

They can now be had for $160k. Check www.fordgtprices.com

Why is it that "most" people that come on here with big wads of cash to spend have no idea what they want?

The seller account on E-bay that is listing the Cartier watch has about a 6300 lifetime rating, with almost 6000 rated transactions in just the last 12 months. The current auctions shows over 120 auctions for keyboards, mice, trackballs, etc going for $5-30, so cheap computer peripherals seems to be the gist of the business. Prices are such that he probably makes a few bucks, but he way overcharges for S/H ($10-20) which is probably a big chunk of his profit. If he makes $15-20 on average, that is $90-120K for rated transactions. Factor in a multiplier for rated+unrated transactions and he could conceivably be over $200K in profits. Course there are some operating expenses and stuff. If this is a side-business, it's a nice piece of change and could pay for a few toys. If it's his only business, different story.

    Oh CASH?!? Uh huh!

Why not just take the money and buy those hotels on Boardwalk and Park Place.

A better investment, given your apparent situation! ;)

But the trend is that those that actually have that much pocket money are pretty decisive individuals and have a pretty good idea what they want in the first place...
