I don't have the books for my '83, but am working off a Mondi & 80-82. But, in the parts manual, it's Tav 9, #63 at Ricambi it's table 14, #17 (I think). The hose deteriorated, the clamp moved & almost ate through my airpump belt. So it needs to be replaced. Anybody know the size? looks to be 21 or 22mm. maybe 7/8" ? I don't see this size on the hose replacement posts, though one person listed 3/4" for emissions. Thanks in advance, Clyde M.
Clyde, On my US spec '84, it was 21mm. This may be different on a Euro car - I think 19mm. Not sure why it would be different, but I know of one that came off a Euro and was 19mm, and 19mm didn't fit my '84. You may need to remove the dizzy and end plate to get this hose back on, if the replacement isn't pliable enough. So have some gaskets on hand. Phil
These online parts diagrams must be for Euro Mondials... Yours connects to a barb on the valve cover inbetween the distributor mounting flange and the air pump drive and then onto the other barb at the bellhousing, correct? That is identical to what is on my GT4 and I replaced this hose last year when I did my timing belts as I found out it was finally available again. The P/N for the GT4 is: 107783 and I purchased mine from Dennis McCann. It wasn't cheap at $48, but with it being of such a series of tight bends, there was no other equivalent I could find that would fit. I had no choice, the original was all gooey and delaminating. It wasn't leaking, but wouldn't be long away from doing that. The rest of the oil vapor recovery system is straight forward, so 3/4" fuel hose works well.
