I am curious, I can't see my fuel or temp gauge or the upper right of the speedo, or upper left of the tach, and am told to tilt my steering wheel up. I think if I tilted or moved it up more it would hit the dash.

I think someone has changed my steering wheel to a smaller one. Curious what size others have, and how they see their instruments. Mine is a little smalled diameter than the instrument pod, in other words, it could fit under the dash where the gauges go.

I have a smaller 315mm carbon fibre one on my Mondy, I don't have any problems viewing gauges as I have a bucket seat so you sit lower anyway, the only prob I have is being non Pas it is harder on the steering

My ’83 U.S.-spec QV with stock Momo wheel is 13 5/8” OD. Dash visibility is fine, but if I sat a few inches higher in the seat it would block the fuel and water temp gauges.

Doug, Not sure of the size... but, I know it's smaller. The previous owner put on a MoMo (sp?) I like it. Being 6'4" it gives me a little more leg room. I have sat in the 3x8s with the regular wheel... and makes for a little less wiggle room. I have enjoyed the smaller size wheel. (Not "stock" though)... My 2 cents.

I don't know the size of mine either, stock wheel on a '77 GTB. I WAS able to see the guages until I decided that the steering wheel felt like a schoolbus, and I tilted it down to a comfortable spot....now I can't see the top guages. Water temp? Well, I hope it's OK, can't see it without ducking.

Mine does seem small, I am only 6 foot tall and even if I crouch down I can't see the 2 gauges, I have to peak over the wheel and the portions of the tach and speedo, are also a challenge to see.

Some have suggested to raise the steering column higher, I think its maybe too high now. I think the problem is the wheel has been changed to a smaller size.

Does my wheel look smaller than average?? With any luck it is attached this time.

Doug, I have an '85 as well and have the same problem. I can't see the top two gauges either. My steering wheel looks identical to yours but says "MOMO" on it. I was told that this was indeed a stock Ferrari steering wheel at the time but don't know if that's true. However, I can tell you that if it is a stock steering wheel, the gauge layout is a poor design. ;-) I'm 5'11" if that helps your comparison.

    Paul,

The picture I posted is close but when seated you cant even see the top of the two gauges....I agree poor design. I may move the temp gauge to the console
