Hello, I can never get the oil filter off my Mondial. I tried to do my own oil change when I got it and couldn't, had the Major a year ago and now doing an oil change and can't get it off again. I need an actual cap that I can hook up to my socket wrench or breaker bar. Can someone lead me to the correct one/size I need? The tools that grip the oil filter never work on it for me.
I bought and used one of these. I bought the one for the 348 as well. "Rather than struggle with ill-fitting "off the shelf" tools, get a quality item from Hill Engineering. Uses a standard 1/2-inch drive. Will last a lifetime and make oil changes sooo much easier!" https://www.ricambiamerica.com/oft-01-308-328-oil-filter-wrench.html Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
your car is awesome. Hillbilly,,,, oil filter removal. 1) Punch a hole in the side. use an Awl. then ,,2) Hammer a large screwdriver thru it. 3) Twist. oh and (Don’t over tighten the new one. )
That was the only one I found Wade, but $86! I'm hoping there's a size that I can get at a local parts store or something. Also, Ricambi's UFI filter says, NOT AVAILABLE. ???? I'd like to pick up another one, wonder what's up with that. He only has the FRAM which I will not buy.
Harbor Freight has the assortment kit, I have one of those as well. Autozone sells singles. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Wade - That's what I'm going to end up doing, but Ricambi's site says unavailable for some reason. Will have to check back daily. Not sure who else sells them, they aren't the easiest to find.
The Baldwin B253 is quite popular. https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/oil-filter.485685/ https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/oil-filter.483061/#post-143842293 https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/mondial-8-service.351767/#post-141122796 https://www.grainger.com/product/BALDWIN-FILTERS-Spin-On-Oil-Filter-2KZG4
Thank you very much Wade for the thoughtful links, I may get the Baldwin! At least now I know I can get another good option.

That's a great price, I just ordered 2 from Grainger though just hours ago! Will keep it earmarked though, thanks for the link.
