Can anyone elaborate on things they've bought for their car like:

    - stereo (subwoofer - if so, where to put it?)
    - seat belt harness (if so, how did you mount it?)
    - titanium plates under the front bumper?
    - gated shifter - I understand there is a faster shifter gate - does it work?
    - carbon fiber doo-dads?
    - carpets - if so, which ones look the best?
    - shields

Anything else? I know about tubi exhausts?

Oh, one other thing - anyone ever use the tire refiller or have a flat where it didn't work? What did you do?

The shifter thing doesn't really work that much better, but looks cool....had one on my 328...didn't even consider it for the 355.

Get an extra can of "fix a flat" (or two) to keep in the trunk....do not trust the one the car came with. For starters, it is at least 6 years old...but probably will cost hundreds to replace if you actually use it.

Carpets? I had the ones with shields in my 328...to hard to keep clean...I just ordered some high quality ones from here:
http://carmansgarage.zoovy.com/product/LLYDH1 These are very thick and plush, but plain, no embroidery.

I got my skid plates from Independant Ferrari Service 508.238.4224 ask for John the owner. His are made from a very slippery, hard plastic, and (I believe) work better than the metal ones. Plus they are black, and not as unsightly as the shiny silver metal ones.

Adding a lot of stuff can detract at resale time....and you never get that back (from someone who is on his third...and learned his lesson!) ;)

No ideas on the other stuff...never had a need or want for them.

There are a number of aftermarket headers for the car.

Also, there are a few intake systems.

Other options are upgraded springs/shocks from the F package offered only on 99's.

The one extra you need that can't be seen but certainly can be felt is related to the manner in which your timing and cam belts are altered from factory specs. There are a couple of Ferrari factory trained guys who have tuned inumerable motors and have come up with a unique manner to perform service that actually results in noticeable horsepower to the seat of the pants. In Colorado, we have Dave Helms at Scuderia Rampante in Boulder. Dave is an engineer by education and training. Super nice guy with no pretense. A "straight shooter". I believe Dave's sidekick in California is Brian Crall. He goes by Rifledriver under this web site. That's the one extra you need for the motor.

Do you know where and how much replacement fenders are that have the recessed shields?

    Have a great day!

Challenge Grill- IMO it depends on color, my car is silver and it looks super.
    Skid pads- A must!
Brembo kit- Looks great and works even better.
Speedline Wheels- I like mine but it is a matter of opinion.
Tubi, Tubi, Tubi- Nothing more needs to be said.

I figure any car is more fun to drive when you personalize it to your own tastes.

Definitely redo the interior plastic trim in CF, that plastic is lametably cheap looking. I also always wondered if rewapping upper dash in alcantara would (think 288 GTO) be a nice way to combat the shrinkage issue.
