I am almost 100% postive that the Fiorano came with carbon fiber on the steering wheel, or at least that is how all of them that I have seen came...

If you get the steering wheel, you should not need the airbag, because you can reuse the one from the stock 355 wheel (as long as it is post 1995 build).

My 99 Berlinetta came with the alcantara steering wheel from the factory. I think it's listed on the window sticker as the Challenge Steering Wheel. When I'm home this weekend I'll take a look and see if it has an option price next to it. I like it but after about 4-5 hours in the car, my thumbs start turning black :)

Robin, how is the alcantara holding up? I have seen a couple of the wheels on 355's and the alcantara (or is it suede?) does not seem to hold up real well in that application.

I have OMP Velocita, diameter 330mm-Suede. Its quite nice and grippy thought the Suede wear out farily quickly but then again I only paid for about US$ 220 (plus another 150 to make the boss kit).

you may want to check it out.

    cheers

It's a bit worn out at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions where i keep my hands. The part that's worn down is where my thumb wraps around the front. It looks fine, just wears off onto my hands a bit and turns them black on long drives. I've never driven one with the normal steering wheel so I'm not sure which I'd prefer though.
