Why, oh why didn't you put "(Spoiler Alert)" in the title of this thread?
    Such a missed opportunity

Would that cure the nervous ass/rear of the car while driving more than 200kms/hr. (125mls./hr) with headlights lifted?
BTW. Did anyone ever notice this, except me?

I don't have the nerve to drive 125MPH at night! :( And though I've had my 328 indicating over 145MPH out in the Nevada/Arizona desert, I didn't have the headlights up. In fact, I can't think when I last had the headlights up while driving!

Oh wait, yes I can...last year when I drove it from Maryland to Texas. They require you to have your headlights on when you cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I have no idea why that's necessary in broad daylight but they WILL issue a ticket. So for 3 miles across the bridge at the beginning of the trip last year was the last time they were used. I think I'll go out to the car and see if the headlights still function! :)

BUT...it doesn't seem surprising to me that there might be some skittishness at high speed with the headlights up. They certainly don't appear to be what I'd call aerodynamic! It would be interesting to see wind tunnel smoke with them down/up! In any case, I would expect that wing to take care of the problem though the added drag might result in the car not being able to reach 125MPH!

Me neither. Not with those stock headlights. But occasionally during twilight or dawn. Why not. Those are the only daytimes, when our speedlimit free Autobahn is empty enough for such speeds.
When I noticed the twitchy rear for the first time, I actually thought I had a suspension or tire problem. When it has disappeared next day with the headlights down, I began to recognize the problem. Maybe better with classic P7 tyres ;-)

Yeah Martin, maybe those tires will take care of the problem; buy a set and let us know! ;)

I notice also that the 328 GTS badging is black, but on other cars I've seen it in silver - do you know which is correct? Was it a model year change?

Is that one of those rare Saratoga rear wings?
