A close friend just returned from a cruise from Spain to Italy, and on a side trip to a small town outside of Monaco saw a car show and knew I would be interested. Here are his pics of I believe a Pagini Zonda. Too lazy to search, so tell me about this car. He was told $650,000 and only 28 made. I'll take mine in Enzo please!

One would have to live in a cave to not know what a Zonda is.

everyone says you need to see one in person, but i agree, from pics it looks like a kit car. Not AT ALL like the F40.

The F50 is one car that I found didn't change much from pics to in person. Agreed, not at all like the F40.

I think Pagani is supposed to be making it safety and emmissions legal to bring to the U.S.

I realize that...I should have explained better.

It makes me wonder why there isn't an unpainted Enzo out there.

That's what I'm sayin'. The Zonda would definately be in my possession if I could ever afford one. From everything I've seen, heard, read, it's probably one of the best designed, engineered and built exotics ever. One of the most beautiful in my opinion.

Yes, an interview with Horatio Pagani recently revealed that he is trying to make the 2007 Zonda U.S. legal.

Phillip, all you had to do was ask your local Supercarlover. :D God, I love that car!!!

Because Ferrari wouldn't go through the crazy effort to make a car in clearcoat. It requires an absurd amount of effort to cleanly lay carbon fiber over curves and keep the weave looking good unpainted... and then to match the lines of the weave between panels, is very difficult. Even Pagani said 'never again.' When you paint over it, you can't really tell what the CF weave underneath is doing.

It's kind of like tailoring with fabrics - if you have plain red cotton, it's far simpler to line up on a shirt than a complex check/box pattern. Then it's not an easy shirt, it's a curvy car, and the fabric has sticky resin all over it.

Also, there wouldn't be a clearcoat Enzo because over years, the epoxy will turn yellow from sun exposure and look nasty - just look at old F40 and F50 interiors, or the rear end of a new Carrera GT (I saw one that must have been poorly prepared by the CF subcontractor - a new car on the Boston showroom floor with yellowed CF).

OK, I admit I had seen pics of a Zonda before, but didn't know anything beyond the name and where it was made. Just thought it was a catchy lead in to the pics he brought me.

Wow! I love the Zonda. I would kill to get a Zonda imported into Canada. But that wont happen for a while. Stupid Transport Canada crash test standards.
