Bruce has come out of hiding!!!! Where have you been? You have been building "THE" beast? What can we do to get to see the rest of it. I like it already. By the way has anyone told you...."You are insane". If you don't want a public showing yet you can tease me at [email protected]

LOL....just working in this 200 degree shop during the summer. INSANE???? That's what you get when you hang with Dave Helms, he's got me beat by 2 tractor lengths..

This is just the proto-type which will be transferred to the REAL BEAST..the red spyder which is currently on a major diet...lol

BTW...this is a one piece front end with modified headlamps(very visible),but less noticeable are the turn signals, and fogs

Very cool that you are actually hanging with Dave. Perhaps between you two mad scientists you will come up with a working hypothesis and solution to THE 355 issue and quell all the crap once and for all like we have done for 348 gearboxes. It is a good think I don't live in Boulder or with two of us around poor old Dave would never get any paying work done. Do you flyfish?

Haven't been hanging with Dave physically..just long phone conversations...being in GA, Colorado is like a foreign country..

    Good ole garden variety 355....

512M???????.....Not even close on the headlights. ALL handbuilt custom(thanks to a Dentist and is craftsmanship)...BTW, these lights will throw a beam so far, that at 190+ you still can't outrun'em....I can literally blind you at the throw of a switch.

Sorry. What I should have asked is that an F355 with the headlights modified from pop-up to a covered type similar to the 512M. BTW, those headlights look very interesting. HID xenon with a HID projector-type light??? I also like the other modifications. The rear Challenge-type grill is very innovative. It looks like it would provide even greater cooling.

That's OK. This headlight design made it necessary to modify the hood, that is why the whole front end is composite material.

    Yes on the lighting type.

Super cooling, but you must always keep in mind that when these cars are stationary very little air is circulating....it's only when it is moving that the cooling effect is dramatic. SOLUTION??? DO NOT SIT, rather, let it rip...lol

We'll have to start a new thread like the P4/5 thread, but entitled "Bruce's F355M". Best of luck on your project(s)!

Bruce! I can't wait any longer , you have been teasing us to long now ,you gotta get that think done. The lights look sweet , it makes the f355 look modern just like it made the 512m look over the early TR " improved ". I have been thinking if this for two years now but I know the hood and maybe the fenders would have to be mod and I already have a carbon fiber hood and would have to sell it if I wanted this done. I'm glad to see it on the car instead of in my head for two years. I was not sure how it would really look but today has come and WOW. I mite have to sell the hood. LOL!!!!!!! If you have more pics don't hold back and tease us. LOL!!!!!

Fender mounted intakes just "sip" the air, SNORKEL's are where its at. If you must, put chicken wire over it so save the small kids and pets from geting sucked in.

Your bumper AND wing are just holding down the "Bruce Rack" (if you look real hard...) collecting dust along with some other "junk" destined for the dumpster...

Damn sad deal when the only things running are the tractors... What the heck, as the old saying goes, "if it has wheels... RACE IT!" Ferguson's rule! The rear tires aren't worn out from plowing granite, their shaved... Thats my story and Im sticking to it.

""This is just the proto-type which will be transferred to the REAL BEAST"" I believe you meant to say the IMSA... Kris is not real hot on the idea of riding in that for hours on a road tour but I am still going forward with the attempt. I still need headlights, mufflers, windows, cup holders...

It all depends on your headlight design....you can do them kinda squarish and the hood and fenders would not have to modified, you might have to make a slight(minor) mod to the tub(chassis) to bolt the headlight assembly to the frame.

Sorry if I seem to be a tease, but all of this takes money, time, and some degree of knowledge and crafstmanship...all of which(esp. money) I don't have. I still have a long way to go.

NO SIPPING HERE!!! As for one big snorkle??......no way, we got too many squirrels, possums, and racoons down here and all I need is to be caught by the ASPCA with a coon tail sticking out the snorkel..lol
How about a couple of mini snorkels,i.e. big rat size???

Dusty parts???? Man you're killing me...my whole shop is full of dusty parts, I thought the deal was that you were going to clean them before you put-em in that homemade coffin.

Love the close up pick of my rack, instead you show me a close up of a Can-Am(???) undertray....interesting ductwork though, now I know where you are getting some ideas for cooling the engine bay.

I'm calling FedEx to see if they ship dumsters...let me know when yours is full.
