So let's see. Worry about clutch wear every time you're behind the wheel or get the clutch replaced six months earlier without the worry. Hmmm..

Clutch replacement should only take a day or so in the shop max. I will take the day in the shop.

 

Depends on where ya live! This car is located a carrier ride away from a reputable shop. My last clutch was a week in the shop (also did 3 year service, though).

Boca, eh? Which one (as in coast)? Some of the time (less and less) I'm the West one.

The reality is, it's not a "worry" thing, it's now hard wired/second nature into how I drive this particular car. I enjoy the heck out of the cars, drive the wee out of them while holding a reverent respect anything mechanical - it's the "toolie" (engr) in me .

 

Good point. Didn't think about the fact that not everyone has a reliable shop nearby. I am on the east coast.
