Yes - I know this particular case is a Lambo, but c'mon! LiveLeak.com - Enraging or Not ? BMX'er Jumps Onto and Over Lamborghini
Who would ever want to lecture a bum like that? People like that, are the scum of the earth. Police no. Lecture no. Do nothing, no way!!! Beating the ever living piss out of him - very tempting. Hire a hitman, even more so. But me? I'll get the scummiest, most heartless lawyer money can buy and have him dig into him. I want to take everything away he cares about and loves, and make his life a living hell for years to come. To me, it's not so much the car. The can can be fixed, but the idea of having someone spit in my face and try to turn the success and life my wife and I have worked hard for, into something "bad", that is just completely unforgivable, and I wish nothing but grief and suffering for such a lowlife philistine. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very calm and collected person. But this hits the nail on the head. Not because it's a car, but because of the message in the act.
The way you treat people/interact has a funny way of coming full circle, he'll probably be riding that bicycle when he's 90.
I guess "hire a hitman" was the wrong answer? In all seriousness, idiots like that will probably shrug off and laugh at anything you try and tell them. After watching them perform an action such as this, it's safe to say they're not very bright in the first place, so what's lecturing them going to do? Reporting them to the police would probably be the most mature and effective way to handle the situation, rather than chasing them down and beating the snot out of them. Hiring a lawyer is always an option, as said by DK308, but who knows if that waste of a human being has anything to sue for anyway?
if he gets to put his bike on my lambo ... then I'd put my lambo on his bike.... and send him the bill for the repairs.
Not sure why anyone here would castigate the Lambo owner - what the hell did he do wrong? Work his ass off so he could afford something nice? GIVE ME A BREAK. Beating the **** out of someone is what I'd likely WANT to do, but the reality is, we have laws against that. Call the cops and make that clown pay for his act. Something seriously wrong with our culture that anyone would even question this. The BMX bike rider is committing an act of vandalism - no excuse, he's probably some loser slacker without a job...should be punished accordingly.
Come on, none of you ever were young and did very stupid things in that time? Always 50 years minded right from the birth? Never with hippie attitude, hipster, leftisch, whatever you today consider infantile, if not stupid or even inaceptable? It is our generation, by the way, that paved the way for internet 2.0, wherein all the kids now want to become the 5 seconds hero of the (virtual) world. Think about showing your kids, what counts for real life heros (definitely not "likes" in the internet). Do you laugh when looking one of the horrible "ooops"-shows, wherein videos are shown about accidents which surely hurt, at least, even if looking funny at the first glance? Yes you do? Then you should also laugh about the bike video, at least no one is hurt ....
...legally, if you were standing next to your car and this happened, what COULD you do? (I guess the same question if you saw someone key your car, or any other sort of thing....)
Good question. I presume you could detain him in a "citizen's arrest" justification, since they were in the act of committing a crime and it involved something that belongs to you. Sort of like detaining someone who tried to steal your wallet. And if you beat the snot out of him, you can just claim he resisted and you were just "defending yourself."
Looks like the police is now investigating, and the owner is going to get estimates for the damage done. And pursue....eventually. LINK: Did you see that? BMX rides over Lamborghini
Now up to three threads discussing this same video. Anyone care to venture a guess at how many more we'll see before this blows over?
A lot of tough talk here, but fact of the matter is you wouldn't do a thing except report it to your insurance company and get it fixed. Sue him, that's a joke, chances are he doesn't have two nickels to rub together. Run over him and his bike, if you have more than two nickels, he'll soon own all of them. Hit man, yea, right, you wouldn't know one if he stepped on you. Move along, nothing to see here.
