I'm off to Omaha in 3-4 days to do a PPI on a TR I bought.......however I'll be staying a couple of days...........so what is there to do ?

I plan to spend the better part of a day at the Strategic Air Command Museum.........but have no other ideas. Are there any good blues bars in the city..........or even better........peeler bars ?

Any and all suggestions welcomed. TIA for any answers...........

No "peeler" bars so to speak unless you venture over to iowa, and then I am not sure how good those are. I think pasties are involved. Downtown, Old market area has some bars there, it has been a while since I lived there and I am sure things have changed quite a bit. The College World Series goes until the 26th, so you might catch some of the tail end festivities for that. Other than that it depends on where you are staying.

    1) give me a call when you get here 800-399-4468, ask for Jeremy

    2) lots of good stuff to do, lots of great food. ecclectic car-community. we have a very active BMWCCA chapter (I'm on the board), but f-cars are not the most common.

    3) there are some "bars" like those you speak of... not IN omaha... but near enough.

Shopping, Boystown, Zoo, College World Series, SAC @ Auffit. Peeler bar in Clear Lake or Cedar Lake I think, it is over by the airport. I can't remember the name of it, but it is next to La Quinta just past the Quest Center. I would also shoot over to Bada Bing in Council Bluffs, or Harrah's to gamble and in Council Bluffs too! There are a bunch of cool bars in the down town area as well!

Have fun whatever you do, and good luck with the TR

The Old Market has perhaps one of the best places to vist. For food and beer you have Jobber's Canyon and the Upstream and alot of other nice restaurants.

Someone said the SAC museum which is a great place to vist. If your into trains you can also check out the UP museum. We also have a exelent performing arts center in Omaha as well (close the Old Market).

As far as peeler bars, there is the Playhouse which is close to Mid-America Motorplex.

    You're thinking Carter Lake.

None of the 'peeler' bars are that great, been there, done that.

    I'm sorry I missed you kieth (?)

what was supposed to be a relaxing, kinda "chill" summer has turned into a non-stop melange of chaos and deadlines...

but thus far it has been reasonably profitable...

I owe you beer next time!
