What to do in Salt Lake City

My son and I will be going to Salt Lake City for 4 days of skiing in Feb ’06. We will ski all day but if we stay downtown are there interesting things to see and do in the evening? Suggestions of good / fun places to eat? Thank you for your help. –Skip in Michigan

 

Well, good alcoholic beverages are a little harder to find. Salt Lake is not exactly party central. There's a decent bar up on top of one of the hotels, but the name is completely escaping me. Good view, so you can eat up there or just have a few drinks and relax. Not sure how old your son is.

I don't recall anything else really spectacular to do at night in the city. I'd ski and just relax in the tranquility at night.
