Just not true. It is done all the time in the Ferrari business. Sales rules the business and they really dont care about insurance or lack thereof. If that is what it takes to get a car sold we routinely rolled out the red carpet for a visiting mechanic and let them use a rack if needed. We were often even instructed to loan tools if required. It ain't the Honda business.
I agree. People act like these cars are made of sugar. Water, time, and ants can all kill 'em. It is true that there are a few stories of cars with broken timing belts, but they are pretty rare relative to the number of cars on the road. The 355 water pump is not an issue in my mind. If it breaks, the car overheats, and you get it replaced. Sounds like a good car, get the PPI and go from there. BT
